If you don't know him, Demetrius comes off as extremely shallow. It seems as if he acts in his own interests, mostly for amusement. I can't say that isn't entirely true, although Elias thinks otherwise. He's caught me off guard with a serious discussion a few times, but it's completely unexpected.
